Anti system jacking methods - anyone?

what i did in my car was a bought two little sirens made by dei and i put them in my air vents so when you are in the car with the alarm going off your ears feel like they are about to explode. all you have to do is put some in the trunk and your done.

Bolting your stuff down is good, and having an alarm and not letting people know what you have is all good and stuff but I bet a lot of theifs will damage your stuff if they can't come away with it. If they realize its too much effort, they could throw a screw driver through a sub so just because they can't get away with it doesn't mean its all safe.

I find it humorous how many people go out and buy expensive car alarms and they don't help at all...I've lived in both a big city and small town and when people hear a car alarm going off, they don't do anything!!!! The best thing you can do is DON'T cover your car with car audio stickers! And don't go around bragging to everyone you pass in the street about how great your car stereo is...this is the biggest problem for a lot of high schoolers (at least when I was there). You should buy your stereo for you, not to impress other people, and if you decide to get a nice stereo for other people, thats probably who will end up having it! You could always go out and get the ugliest, old ladyish car you can find to put your stereo in, make sure you leave the luggage rack on and keep the ahfgan covering the back seat...not many stereo thieves look at those cars looking for high end audio. But most of us don't want to go as far as taking THOSE measures!!!

Best idea I have come up with is allen head screws with a dab of jb weld in the heads of each. Someone will play hell getting those out. Use L brackets to bolt down your boxes too.

Dont use stickers, dont blast music coming into parking lot, and if possible leave an ugly old sweatshirt obstructing view of subs/head unit in car.

If you dont live in a city with radio probs (like houston) get a viper system with a pager and a glock with hollow points.
