Another which 12 inch sub thread

Ok so I need a new sub. Here is what I am looking for.SQL I wanted it to be loud but not sound like crap.

It will be powered of a sundown 1500d so something around the 1200 to 1500rms area. I dont want anymore Fi subs, not that I dont like them to be honest I love them but they are all Ive owned in the last year so I just want something new. It will have about 3 cubes. and will be goin in a ported enclosur and tuned to 33hz. I will spend up to 400 shipped in the end.

Only sub I looked into so far was the hdc3 so any other ideas on what to look at. I was thinking DD but I keep hearing SQ on them blows.

Impedance rise is enclosure dependent...and efficiency doesn't come into this discussion at all. We're not talking about the amount of power needed to make a certain output, only the output itself... So based on the OP's original post, do you think that a 12" JBL W12GTi MKII on his 1500D at 3 ohm is what he's looking for?

Anyway, on a side note, to keep this guy's thread bumped to the top for anyone else's input, I have a question for you. I'm looking into getting a pair of Crystal CompX2 12s, and I'm pretty sure you've tested them. Now I know they sound good and can get loud, but if you remember them, do you remember if they can handle 2kw rms? Also, where can you get some from nowadays?

What I am saying is I had a BTL I am just looking something for something in a 12 inch that maybe isn't quite as loud but sounds pretty good. I still want a loud woofer and I am looking for a daily driver. A 3ohm sub will not be what I want I need something I can run at 1 ohm. along the lines of the hdc3 or dd 3512.
