Another what 8's should i get thread...

Wondering what 8"s would be good for a SQL/SQ setup. I would run up to two, i'm thinking about going ported or i/b. These would possibly go in the back of a tahoe. For some reason i have a fascination with 8's. I think it may have something to do with the need to somehow prove (lie) that my penis is not actually that small. Although if all else fails i'll just go with a 12 inch mag... wish they made 8"s though...

These will possibly be competing with a set of z6's with 400 watts RMS per side. Or a wild card that i'm not going to announce yet, due to my uncertainty if they'll be ready by the time i am.

IF i do decide to do this, it wont be happening for ATLEAST a couple months, so if the availability date of these speakers is just around the corner... well, thats fine. (although i would prefer to go with a set of subs that have been proven)

I'm open to different suggestions/solutions, however space is a concern as whatever vehicle i get i might be using it to carry around tile/saws/tools. And this install will be stealth for the most part, i'd prefer my audio to be heard, not seen. Although i realize the obvious obstacles of hiding a sub stage, and am not all to concerned with it. If nothing else i can take them out while i'm out of town. I'll just put a set of handles on the box (should i go with one/them) for the 8's.

Any help is appreciated but please do not give input if its not based on any experience or thought concerning the circumstances/desires.

i've heard the rl-i 8"s and i was quite suprised on how loud and clear they were. thats why i'm doing a build right now with them

previous set-up was a 2005 grand prix, with 2 IB in the rear deck being ran off of a viper 1200.1@1 ohms. Dude had Boston comps up front on a viper 400.2 i think. One of the cleanest sounding set-ups i've ever heard. Mine is going to be 2 in 1.3^3@33 box under my rear deck off of a Kicker ZX1000 and i'll have B oston Pro 50's comps in my 81 Cutlass also a kicker amp for my comps. May substitute the kickers for Alpine pdx amps

i'm just concerned with the RL-i's being able to keep up with the bostons.
