I would love to comment on this speaking with someone but I cannot. The price will go up and they have a reason. Also remeber TC has been an OEM manufacture for a while.

Let's put it this way the mainstream is where the big money is like JL, Alpine ect.

If you are gonna stay around and grow as a company you are going to have to make a change at some point. Get out to mass market.

I think after people see what the bigger picture is more people will understand the price increase. If you want them cheap get them now.

I do not speak on behalf of TC nor am in anyway associated with TC. Nor can I state where my info came from. Promised not to, so don't even ask for specifics on what may or may not be going on. I cannot say.

Have to read between the lines on this one. TC I am sure will release specific info when they feel the time is right.

Gee lets see here.. could it be KYLE don't pretend you have ANY inside info man.. 50-100 ppl at least know the reason. It has been discussed and discussed.. they are going to b&m... who cares. i wont be buying anything now. and its NOT because of the price hike. don't really care about that. i do, however, care that they are going back to aluminum cones. no thanks.

Even if they plan on going mainstream, that prices increase is a bit extreme, the whole thing that has made TC and other online companies successful is offering a quality product at a good price. Now Imma find it hard to believe that the casual car audio customer is going to pay the same amount for tc a company that most mainstream retailers are un familiar with as JL audio, etc. Now if thats true, then a tc 2000 would range in the $500's. I dont see it happening. I love TC sounds woofers, but I would never spend that much for a tc2000. I could get 2 rlps, or 2 fi Q's for the price of one. This idea hasn't seemed to work very well for RE either. I was planning on upgrading my 1 12 tc2+ for a 15 tc1000, but I'm gonna have to go another route now

I see people use RE equipment all the time. Not as much as in the past, but that is because they don't do the group buy thing anymore.

Well I Dont hear much about the XXX or other RE subs I did on forums or anywhere like they were mentioned a few years back. Has nothing to do with sales figures, I'm talking about there customer base that got them where they are. A few years back everyone was talking about the XXX, and since they almost tripled the price I dont hear much of anything anymore
