Another Weird| Head unit won't turn on

I removed the older Kenwood CD player from my boat and replaced with the Alpine from my truck in order to have MP3 and IPOD hookup. The kenwood worked great, as did the Alpine when in the truck.

I wired in boat exactly how kenwood was, and hooked up the yellow (constant), black (gound), and red (power) (no speakers as using 4 channel). I have 12.5 volts at alpine's harness, but when I plug on I cannot get the HU to turnon!?!? This boat is starting to drive me crazy. I pulled the fuse on the rear of the Alpine and it is 10 amps and fine.

Anyone have any idea as to what may have happened? Because I have ~12+ volts, that should mean it would turn on, correct?

Double check the wire keys for the new unit. sometimes main power is yellow and the turnon is red. Remote turn on is almost always blue. or blur with white stripe.

I have had a few that where switched. cant recall which.

Your main objective is to make sure you lable your boat main power(always hot) and the main ignition(switched hot)

Blown fuse on constant. Good to go
