I know some are getting tired of hearing about the type r, but i did a search and got several different answers on this matter...can i give my 10" type r's more than 300 watts rms? The amp i have is a profile ap1000m. I can give them (2 of em') 500 watts rms each. What should i do? 300 or 500? help please.

I will say yes, just be careful with your gains.

my amp does 500 rms @ 2 ohms (max rms). would you suggest i run it at say around 400-450 rms, or should I wait till i set my gains to find out if the gain is all the way up...cause i have heard that this amp does more than rated power.
