Another satty enclosure build

Hey guys,

Just started another enclosure for another fellow saturn-driver, this one will be 2 cubic feet per sub, tuned to 32Hz and painted matte black.

I got all of the pieces cut today, rabbited the edges of every corner of the front and back plate instead of just the front face where it connects to the port walls. Also got the 45 degree angle pieces cut for the corners like the last one.

Rabbited edges..

Clamping the port wall and part of front face together and squared up with square clamped onto them..

Clamped and set...Titebond III...only the best...

I then cut my hand on another project using a jointer...stupid mistake and was my fault...was trimming down a small piece of wood (too small) and it slipped...lost .5" off my pointer finger and .25" off my middle finger (right hand)..

I was a bit shakin up from this but i'll live, just kinda sux..

Rounding the inner edges of the port wall (couldnt use the router...only had one hand, haha...so hand sanding took over)

Sanded smooth the outside and most of the spots on the inside that had glue wiped on it..

A day after my hand got the blade...one of my D3100's came..cheered me up a bit...but this darn thing is a freakin tank to be carrying around with just my one arm..

Putting on remaining 45 degree inserts in corners...

Wiped port clean with damp paper towel and painted black...

Now its the top's turn..

Shop tried to pawn this cup terminal off on me for the enclosure...had to take it back, was obviously used in a previous box, had mdf dust all over it and the terminals had been cut up and pulled apart..

Outside paint..

Looks horrible i kno, still drying...

Paint came out a bit better after light sanding and another coat...shouldve primered it really, o well...and i had to sand down parts of the port opening...my friend's kinduva noob when it came to that, haha..

Still dirty, but here are the cup terminals...

Getting ready for shipping to texas (from ohio..haha)...

Finished product looks good. I would have fleckstoned it or whatever it's called, but looks good.

yea..when it comes to painting ive got work to do...I should have atleast grabbed my body filler and slathered that on there and sanded smooth...wouldve turned out better....but I shipped it to texas for next to nothing...i barely made any money off of this, haha

nice, looking good, great job on the build.... idk why but i lol'd at the weights on top of the box...

Haha, i wasn't lol'ing when I had to make 3 trips to get those up there with my one hand....haha
