Another "what do you think" post (Rainbow and Memphis)

My amp only pushes 600 watts at 2ohms and I don't like underpowering my subs, and I could try n add depth but I don't wanna cut holes in my door panels due to keeping the look of the car. So the sub is the only down side, but I can make it work until i can afford a new amp.

Don't be afraid to under power, (I run two 1750 rms subs on 1300 rms total) but if bothers you you can always upgrade down the road. You can add depth without cutting I'll post a pic of my doors in a few minutes.

You can just ad an mdf adapter like this

Except my doors are designed for 4 inch speakers, So i I don't get the benefeit of the already fabricated speaker hole, My mount will be mdf and look like this. CIMG0233.jpg Photo by mrroverrover | Photobucket

Looking at it now, honestly, for cost and ease of install, I could probably run some RE XXX 6.5 components, I mean, not as good as running active but wayyy easier, and everyone seems to love em, and It would save even more money for a better sub amp.

If you don't want to run an active setup there are far better options than the Re's.

yeah, I am not sure, lol, I have always been stuck with budget systems until now, I really am not sure what to look at, thats why I defaulted to rainbow and memphis right away because everyone raves about them, I honestly just want good sound quality with some decent volume, but sq is my main focus. I am getting the gcon sub for sure though, that thing is killer, and I only have to run one. The mids are the problem, they really are too deep, to be honest 3 inches would even be pushing it, 2.5 or less is my best bet which means shallow mounts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif And I decided on these tweeters Vifa XT25TG30-04 1" Dual Ring Radiator Tweeter 264-1016

Those are very nice tweeters, just make sure that you ask around here before committing to anything. It ***** getting stuff and being disappointed. The Gcons are awesome!

Yeah! I am sure I will love the tweets, I already love my black Ice amp, and I may end up with a couple sundown or dynaudio midwoofers cuz they mount rather shallow.
