Another Q Vs SSD question

This is from the Great 12 challenge done forever ago:

SSD results:



Average SPL: 122.96 dB

dB/Watt: 0.137 dB

Driver Notes:

* Build Quality is excellent.

* Would not reccomend much over RMS rating.

Q results:



Average SPL: 126.83 dB

dB/Watt: 0.127 dB

Driver Notes:

* Build quality is excellent

* Woofer has alot of output potential below 40hz ported

* Woofer will be ok with muscial content over RMS rating(under 1800 watts).

wow, thanks for that. Shows a very similar curve with just a slight raise in output with the Q, although it did have an extra 100 watts so might even be smaller then that. Hmm...thats very interesting.

Also depends on the box. If you have a specific box size you have to use you might want to take that into consideration. Not sure if the Q's and SSD's use the same. They might. But you will want to look which sub is optimal for your air space

man I'm glad that someone asked this question. not tryin to take over your thread but I was in the same predicament. I decided to go with the Q being that although I was gonna give it just at RMS. the box for both was the same specs, at least for the 18 it was.

Ya they are pretty close by their specs.

Q 2.8 - 4 Cu ft @ 28 - 33 hz
