just installed my new sound stream amp its a DTR series model. Turned everything on but NO BASSSS!!! I disconected the bass boost KNOB from the amp and it started working then I connected it back again and it stop working. I was like WTF??? Stupid. Anyways, I have everything connected(RCA's) to my EQ with built in 8 volt line driver, so I know the amps are getting a clean powerful signal, so I dont know why I have to set the gain on the amp to 80 percent and bass boost half way for it to get my subs moving, I shouldnt even have to pass 40 percent on the gain knob on the amp, my other mmats amp was pushing the subs hard at almost 30 percent on the gain, and this SS amp is just crazy. **** I Don't know if I bought a defective amp. Bought it of onlinecarstereo.com .

Yeah something has to be wrong. My subs boogie off of the dtr.(love this amp even over the aq). something has to be setup wrong because the dtr does do rated and is a solid amp. try bypassing your eq and going straight from hu to amp

Bass boost is junk. Set your gains properly with a DMM. A line driver is useless if all it does is up convert a shitty signal. The amp may be getting an 8v dirty signal.

I never use bass boost on any amp I have owned, in this situation I turned it up to see wat would happened since I wasnt getting any out put, and it started moving the subs. Also I have to set the gain to almost 75 percent for the amp to start moving the subs, I did a better ground, and nothing. None of my mmats amps ever did this, I always would have them at 30 percent gain and those dont even have a bass boost feature, so this is the first amp I have owned that has bass boost. Also when I connect the bass boost cord the one that looks like a phone cable the amp stops playing bass but its still on though. This all is way to weird. I might end up sending this amp back.

What kind of amp, what kind of subs, and are you sure you HU settings are good? like your lows and sub channel are turned up?
sound stream dtr 2200 . 2 dual 4 ohm type r's yes i played around with the HU sub channel settings for about an hour and nothing, all the settings are good. Gosh this is pissing me offf.. i spent 300 for this **** amp..

as you guys can see on my EQ - the sub level, sub x over, and the 45 hz knobs are the ones that control the sub stage mainly frequenzy wise. I have the sub level and the sub x over knobs set already, but for some reason i wasnt paying attention to the 45 hz knob and all of a suddent i deside to turn it up, little did i know the subs starting moving like crazy with minimum gains on the amp no bass boost. I was like wtf?? it cant be that? I had it halflway on the dot as u see it on the pic all the time... Just want to know wat frequenzys that knob mainly controls, cuz i dont trust it being almost all the way up. But yeah for the most part having that knob almost all the way up is moving the subs fine and everything seems to be working normal.
