Don't take it personal. I was just lashing back at the other guy who decided to say people from Michigan don't know what sports are. Because other than the Lions every major Detroit sports team has won some championships. Most notably the Red Wings who have the record for MOST consecutive post season appearances than ANY OTHER major sporting team.adam71 and if you think maurice clarrett was the only college athlete that has ever taken money or gotten academic favors ur nuts. ive had a couple friends that have played Division I sports in college and they all admit they passed a couple tests that they left half blank.
being from michigan im sure youve heard of the FAB 5?
Getting any sort of mental or physical pleasure from watching ANY guy in tights sounds pretty ****-erotic to me... I'm not trying to defend that WCW is any form of professional athletics. If any thing, try being a Nascar driver where you have to drive 2+ hours in a 100+ degree car, without much way to get hydrated, and having to wear a very thick layer of fire retardant clothing, without passing out from exhaustion, or dehydration. I know every sport has it's own weakness, in a sense that it can be found that it's not worth it, or to some people, it's just ignorant. It does take skill and determination for someone to go out, and be able to throw their body around a wrestling ring, and pick people up that are as heavy as the 'professional' wrestlers. I don't see ANY sport doing that, besides most forms of mixed martial arts.I detest 'pro' wrestling and saying that you think they work hard and have to have dedication to do what they do is just trying to legitimize your watching of ****-erotic soap operas....
If you want to see a wrestler with dedication go to your local college/high school. If your high school team is any good there is a good chance they show up 2 hours early for school to condition and stay 2-3 hours after school to train. Now THOSE kids are athletes. The only other athletes that are on their level of training intensity (in high school) are the swimmers.. at least for nationwide sports. Back east they have lacross and such but it's still not as tough as the wrestling as far as training goes....
It takes an enormous amount of dedication and training to be a "real" wrestler. I'm not talking about WWF stuff.... and many wrestler go for days without hydration and food.... not just a couple hoursGetting any sort of mental or physical pleasure from watching ANY guy in tights sounds pretty ****-erotic to me... Fuckin right. I participated in a small SCCA sanctioned event in Baton Rouge last year... and though it was only a few laps... I was worn the fuck out.It takes an enormous amount of dedication and training to be a "real" wrestler. As for NASCAR it's hard but Lemans and Rally Racing has got to be more taxing turning left at high speed....
Actually, to me, there is only one sporting event that matters. It is called College football. The reality of it is that we own you.I'm sorry. How many championships has your state won in the last 30 years.?? Not many. And the only Nat'l football championship you won was with an academic fraud at running back.
So I'm not really sure what you're getting at.
Nascar? nascar is a waste of time/money.Getting any sort of mental or physical pleasure from watching ANY guy in tights sounds pretty ****-erotic to me... OHHHHHHHHHH so thats what that was. It was all about bragging rights in College Football. Well, right now I guess you do have the bragging rights so I'll give that to you.Actually, to me, there is only one sporting event that matters. It is called College football. Although the indians are doing really well right now too.
And now, a song:
We don't give a d amn for the whole state of michigan
the whole state of michigan
the whole state of michigan
we don't give a d amn for the whole state of michigan
we're from Ohio
O - H - I - O!
My whole argument is that it's NOT a sport. And it still isn't. It's theater. You guys severely downplay the dedication that WWE "wrestlers" put in...most of them work 6-7 days/week, not only on televised shows, but at house shows, all over the world.
You don't have to like what they do, but many of them are extremely dedicated to what they do.
