another gain setting question

when you look and listen, of course use a musical track, because you won't be listening to a sine wave all day long. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

just have a sort of visual marker in what position the gain knob will be to produce 49-50V with your HU vol. at 42 (as you chose) and don't turn the knob beyond that.

chances are you won't be turning the gain knob all the way up to that marker because you have to control the loudness/output of your sub. to blend with your separates or co-axial speakers, so as to achieve a musical spectral balance!
