I'll make this one short. The jist of it is that i have some virtual drives on my comp that i cant get rid of. Alcohol didnt work, neither did daemon. Now my burner drive has disappeared and a generic cdrom device has reappeared and my burner no longer functions at all. Any ideas on how to kill the virtual drives and get my burner back?

hmmm.....try booting in safe mode, see what happens, are try and add or remove programs... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif just a thought

Start->right click on my computer->hardware tab-> device properties

Find DVD/CD-Rom Drives, open the + -> Right click each one and hit uninstall. Thats right, all of them, even your burner. Your PC should recognize it when you reboot and fix it up no problem.

Win.

well did the add/remove thing. my burner still doesnt work, now i have 2 dvd drives for some reason. Im going to the store will try the other things in a few
