Hey guys I Just got my seat lift kit in so I can make another box for my 2 sa8 v3's. I took the advice from cscstang and I ended up with 1.48 cubes with a 4" aero tuned to 35hz. Only thing is the box was oddly shaped to fit the area I had. The box sounds good and hits low I just kind of expected a little more out of them. Ive seen plenty of videos of them doing work in peoples vehicles and while I am not dissapointed I am not real impressed either. So my next box will be more of a traditional wedge shape under my seat and I can make it around 1.8 before sub or port displacement. So the question is do I follow the same formula I had or is there anything I can do to get more out of the subs. More port area, different tuning or box size? I dont think power is the answer on a clean signal they already get pretty warm after some good abuse.

For reference this is the oddly shaped box that may or may not be hurting output.

Where's the port loading off of and how far? Yeah those 2 8s do put out quite a bit but in a larger cabin they won't be crazy impressive.

From the drivers side door the port is about a foot. When you say flip sub placement do you just mean mount them at opposite corners?

Correct on sub placement and is it possible to move that box 6-8" from the driver door? You'll see a difference in output.

What is the reasoning for putting the port close to the door? Also is there a point where it can be to close?
