another big3 boat question

Hey all,

i upgraded my boat big 3 from 4 to 1/0 this week.

here is how i am set up.

1/0 power and ground at the battery

alt 1/0 fused to battery

this is how i had my 4ga set up.

now,, i am looking at the existing wiring and the neg wire (used to connect the stock electrical system) and it is from the block direct to the battery.

is it even necessary at all to upgrade this wire,, since i already have my path of least resistance between all the amps and batteries with my 1/0?

If you got the wire then go ahead and if you can notice a difference then it was worth it

yes, because it will be the only - connection between the alternator and battery

since its not grounded through the body as it would be in a car
