My back window on the driver side will go down but it won't go back up. I park in my garage so it wasn't a problem last night but I have to go to work tomorrow and do some things today so I was gonna see if anybody on here knows how to fix this. the window will lift to the top but if I hit a bump or something it will fall back down.

it sounds like it might be off the track.....

x2 sounds like it's off the track...prolly going to have to pull the door panel off and see what's going on...it might have belts to drive the window in either direction and one of them might have broken or slipped off the pully...kind of a pain in the ***...if you find that everthing seems mechanically sound then I would try and connect the motor directly to power...check your fuses first...then see what happens if you swap the wires around, the motor should spin the opposite way and make the window go either up or down...if it's not that then it's most likley the switch...

well it doesn'[t work with the switch on my door or the one on the door itself. i'll take the door panel off in a little bit and let you guys know what the problem is hopefully

I dunno if it's the same but this is the wiring scheme for the 93&94 volvo windows

LF Window up/dn black - red at switch

RF Window up/dn blue - red/gry at switch or in kick

LR Window up/dn green - gray at switch or in kick

RR Window up/dn gray - yellow at switch or in kick

ok didn't even take the door panel off, just tried to roll the window up again and it worked. I'll just try not to roll that window down.

hmm...sounds like something electrical since sometimes it works and other times doesn't... but yeah whatever works...that can get expensive... I think I spent about 150 for a new 4 way switch in my honda...but I did it myself so I'm sure it would have been at least 300 at the stealership with labor.
