Amps

I just bought the new version of a tc9 in the classifieds and need a amp. I found the kenwood kac-9102d on ebay for 130 shipped and a kicker zx750.1 on ebay for 200 shipped. The kenwoods rated at 850w at 2 ohms and the kickers rated at 750w. I have read about the kenwoods overheating though, and know kickers are underated so idk. Im on a budget so wanna keep it as cheap as possible, but dont wanna waste 130 on a amp thats way overrated or is going to burn out on me.

Any opinions? I am not going to spend over 200 dollars.

thanks

you wont b dissapointed w/ a kicker amp. The kenwood is rated for 700rms in one of the auctions. Either way if the kicker is in ur price range I would vote for that, the 750.1's have been known to have birthsheets of up to 900w.

The Kenwood amps run fine when shown a 2 Ohm load.

The ones that have a reputation for being problematic are the non-eXcelon models which claim 1 Ohm load stability.

Those amps, when run at 1 Ohm, show evidence of that claim being a bit optimistic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

well i went with the kenwood amp and 1/0 kicker dual amp wiring kit (right now i have this cheapo walmart kit that claims ot be 5 gauge). I got all of it for 220 shipped. Then i got the tc9 for 150. Then of course i blew 70 on tools and wood. **** shit adds up. 440 buck so far and i still gotta order carpet. There goes a summers worth of fence painting lol
