pg amp blown? tell me

for about 1 month my subs have been doing fine and hitting hard then for some reason its like i turned the gain down instantly. then sometimes it comes back up to full volume. i have already checked the connections on the speakers do you think it could be the amp? its a pg 600.1 only about 1 1/2 years old. thanks
