...this is starting to bug me...this is my second time replacing the fuses...eight 20 amp fuses all together...i guess i'll just have to turn the gain down......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

If you have a dual voice coil subwoofer, make sure you wire both coils directly to the amplifier.

Also, we've had this problem with two PDX1000.1's we've installed. Replaced them with 4 25amp fuses and been fine ever since.

so should i rig my box to install another terminal so i can wire each coil to the amp?....

and is it safe to put 25 amp fuses in a 20 amp terminal?

Hmm I wonder if this ebay seller is lying about "never been used" it's listed as having 4x 30A fuses. It could be a lie, a typo, or possibly Alpine started sending the amps out with bigger fuses.

You should be able to go to Alpine's webiste and download a copy of the user manual in .pdf form and that will indicate what the recommended/supplied fuse values are I would think.

I recieved my 1.1000 from onlinecarstereo.com this week and it had 4 25 Amp fuses,"25A" is also printed above it. Alpine probably heard some feedback and corrected the situation.

yep, thought it was strange as well. However, I've come across a number of threads that talk about the 1.1000 blowing fuses and the Alpine technical support was probably getting a number of calls, so maybe they just decided to change. here's a few pics:
