amps .... whats ur opinion

hey everybody im looking for clean amps at a good price u know something that wont color my music .... ive heard some good things about autotec but have only heard the 1200 class d .... i really apreciate it if u gave me ur opinion of their amps and if u had any other sugjestions

I have owned many brands of amps and i used to have an autotek 7150 and it was a very good amp and very clean. But here lately i have become very partial to Rockford Amps and In my opinion you can't go wrong with RF products.

I've always had good luck with pioneer amps, I find their sound to be clean and smooth, the only drawback that I can think of is that most pioneer amps (except for the PRS-X720 and X320) are a little low on power.

I personally subscribe to the "amp challenge" theory in that all power sounds the same, whether it be road gear or mcintosh. Coloration of music, IMO, comes from cross-overs, equalizers and the like.

If you want "clean" sounding music all you need is ample power and a quality installation. High quality amps with nice on board crossovers, or a good external x/o will help too.
