Maybe try putting the amp somwhere else? Like under the front seat if its not too big...

I actually noticed the same thing happening to my batteries and amp the other day, I walked out there and moved the seat back during the middle of the day (95 deg outside) and low and behold there is condensation on the equipment, I was like WTF...but it made sense.

Amps are like dogs. They don't posses sweat glands.

I know just didnt know how to word it.

It is that it just rains around here alot and if he turns on his system like that it will blow a amp or both.

We are both stumped and have no idea on what to do. his box is big and that is the only place he can put his amps.

I know if we could move the amp to somewhere else in the trunk where it can breath better it would stop building up condensation. cause if we take the box out it does not do it.

But there is no where else we can put it

Can he bolt his amp to the box?

Will it hurt the amp bolted to the box from vibration and alittle flexing?

not usually no. just to be safe i would put a sheet of foam between the amp and the box.

ya tonight we are going to check his seal around his trunk lid.

Going to put a lamp in the trunk when it is dark and see if there is any light around the trunk lid.

Maby moisture is getting in around the seal.

Only thing left it could be cause everything is dry.

If we dont find anything we are going to mount it on the box and see what happens.

What about rubber washers under the amp feet?

why don't you just put a box of baking soda in your trunk? isn't all the moisture in the air supposed to get absorbed into that? just make sure it's secure so it doesn't get knocked over because then you'll have baking soda everywhere. and your trunk will smell fresh too.

That isnt a bad idea.

We put a lamp in his car tonight and parked in his back yard pitch black.

There was no light coming from around the trunk or under the car so there goes that idea.
