Amps stopped working

One day I went out to start my car and turn on the tunes and my amps didnt come on. My remote wire shows 12.70 volts when the headunit is on, my battery shows 13.70 volts when the car is on. When I test the voltage of the amp side of the fuse holder (under the hood) it shows .7 volts, even when disconnected from the battery.

When the power wire is all hooked up, the battery side of the fuse holder shows 13.7v while the amp side shows .7 volts, as if 13 volts is getting lose in the fuse holder, but even when the fuse is disconnected from the battery, I get .7 volts (as if from the amps themselves) If anybody needs clarification of this I can try to explain further.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Does this sound like a grounding issue? It just happened randomly, nothing else has changed.

 
Its still all in one connected piece.... unless it could be defective in another way. I think the key here is that I'm getting .7 volts basically from the amplifiers themselves.

 
Well I replaced the fuse and all is well again, but I guess i'm still worried that I get voltage from the power wire when it isnt connected to the battery.

but seriously, I'm baffled. Is the DMM showing a constant .7v or is it fluctuating?
It was actually rising... starting at .4 volts and going up to .7, but just as I was out testing it this morning, it would show 4.40 volts on the amp side of the fuse holder.

 
its not unusual for wires or amps to show voltage after being un-hooked. The basic idea here is that by running current through a wire, you are also creating a magnetic field around that wire. Thus by running current through a wire, in essence you are creating an eletro-magnet. Once your disconnect that wire from the power source, there is still some stored potential inside that wire or amplifier. It's very easy to discharge the energy by making sure that your wire is unattched from the amp and battery and simply ground(by ground i mean touch) it to bare metal on your chassis.

Now to addres your problem, it definately sounds like your fuse connection is faulty.
