Amps got wet :(

Put the amp in a big bag of minute rice itll extract all of the water out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif and if he lets his amp get hot and theres leftover rice you got dinner

i put 98% rubbing alcohol on what ever electronic stuff i get wet before i turn it back on. Then i use a hair dryer and make the alcohol evaporate. Alcohol washes water away ( sounds weird but works) i have completly submerged peoples cell phones in it and then dryed them off and they worked perfectally for them... sounds like the amps in your friends trunk are screwed..i would still try washing the water out but i think the damage is done already

That's what I do when I have a leak in a liquid cooling for computer, He is 100% correct.

so before the system was put in this guy never once noticed water was getting into his trunk?

seems like something he would of noticed.

he had the car for like a week maybe. and there was a system in it before with the amps in the same spot (quite obvious)

ok, ill give him a pass then. that sucks...

what kind/year car was it? Sounds like it could have been a hooptie being that the seal around the trunk wasnt solid. Hope this isnt one of those guys that puts lots of $$ into the system and yet the car looks like junkyard material.
