Amps for Single 12" Type R (dvc 2 ohm)

Hey guys, just wondering of some good amps to power a single 12" Type R dual 2 ohm, in a ported box tuned to 32Hz. I would like to keep the budget below $200 if possible, or else under $300 maximum if possible.

That sub can be wired to 1 or 4 ohms. I'd look for an amp that does atleast 600 rms @ 1 ohm.

The Hifonics Bxi1206D amplifier is something Im going to get when I get a Type-R 12" Subwoofer. Its under $300 but its worth it so Im told. I cant wait to get mine sometime.

i have the same sub and i was looking at getting that amp soon. i been looking around for a while and i think that is the best one for the money. i have found some on ebay brand new for like around $255 or so shipped. i just dont know if i trust hifonics yet. i had a hifonics amp a year ago and it started smoking in my car really bad. i guess i will try my luck with one more hifonics amp.

the 1206 would be a perfect match for that subs. After impedence rise and voltage drops, you'll see less than 1200 watts
