amps close to a battery?

Im planning on building a much better looking/much more functional amp rack.

Im trying to face the power/ground side of the amps towards the center (where the battery will be)

one amp will be parallel to the + - side of the battery (the top) and will be probably 5" or so away from it (separated by a piece of plywood) but will the rcas and other wires get distorted being that close to the power source?

just curious because i know your technically suppost to run power on one side, and the other wires on the other.

(i have my speaker wires under the carpet, in the center, along with my rcas and it sounds fine)
