I have heard "NO BOSS!" before... Why? They seem like the best bang for your buck...

Also when picking out an amp, if I am running ONE 12" sub, the cheapest way would be to get a 2 channel amp bridged? Will that sound good? Would mono be "Better" than bridged?

I am looking at putting about 300$ into a 4 channel amp, 12" sub, and amp for said sub... I just don't want to **** up and waste 300$. Will it be possible to get all that for 300$, and have good loud sound?

no, boss may seem like the best bang to you, but to everyone else who knows they dont put out even near rated power there not. out of a 2000 watt rated amp you would be lucky to get 400 watts. dont buy it, save up your money, search around here to see whats good and to get good info on new products and old, and if you want it cheap, buy from someone off here. its the best way to go. just search and find info, its more beneficial to you

Thats good to know! I have heard that Pioneer makes a pretty good speaker, does the same hold true for their subs?

How do these amps perform?

-Kenwood

-Crunch

-Sound Storm

-Pioneer

-Clarion

I loked at reviews of stuff, but it seems that no matter the brand every says "It awesome!" with all car audio stuff....

There is a Kole Audio amp for sale used here. 100$ for a 1440 peak amp. Would that be a good buy?

Also I listen to mostly metal/ rock. Would any size subs be better for this than others?

lol one last thing.

How are Power Acoustic amps?

Looks like I might be buying today!

I found some awesome deal on "millionbuy.com" free shipping 200$ and up, and free accessories and stuff with your purchases, and good prices.

Has anyone purchased from them?

I am going to put links to what I am buying.

Box

Pioneer sub

Amp

PA sub

Hows it look? I have heard for lower end stuff PA is decent. Would the Pioneer be a better buy than the PA sub? Or would there be something else better in that price range from that site, at about that power?

Would this be a huge upgrade from my current setup? (DUAL stuff 300rms amp, 600 rms 2 4ohm subs)

Will I need crossovers?

you wont need crossovers, do not buy a prefab box unless you do not know anyone that can build one and you dont know how to build one yourself. i personally would not buy that amp or those subs because they are low end, but it should be an upgrade from your current setup. i would wait about a month before you buy anyhting, if you search here in the classifieds you will find much better stuff, and will blow all that away. you can find great cheap stuff here you just have to be patient. learn more about audio here by seaching and gain more knowledge then go about buying your stuff. it will be so much better in the long run. if you are a true audiophile you do not want to jump into anything cheap that looks cool, its about sound. now if you just want it to look cool then go ahead buy wheatever you want. just search and read for the best knowledge.

Well then, what would be a good amp to upgrade to? I might think about just buying an amp right now that can at least match the rms on my speakers... I think upgrading to a nicer amp will be a nice upgrade until I can afford some nice subs.

There is a Crunch 1500.1 for sale right now for 140$. Would that be a decent amp? I am not looking to sink 1000$ total into my system in the end. Maybe for everything including speakers and a deck and all, but not that much on subs, and an amp... Just so you know what my budget is.
