Hello all. Anybody know all models of amplifiers that turn on and off when they detect audio signal on input , i found kicker and alpine only with this feature and kenwood probably i think this feature its very useful one cable less at installation , i wonder if there are any more amplifiers with this feature.

The new JBL GTO-EZ amplifiers have this feature.

If you do have an amp with a remote wire, I believe you can loop from your batt+ wire to the remote wire input instead of running from the head unit.

i know there is a few jl's that do, there is kickers, i would just get a lc8i that has turn on in it, check out audiocontrol.

how close you to illionois? i wanna slap you for that post. This will cause the amps to be on all the time thus draining your battery. stay in mizzery with the rest

There is no other way to turn on and of an amplifier with rem didin't find any good method only that with power from battery but isn't good that rem its a stupid useless thing must be removed and the all amplifiers should start when they detect sound and turn off when no sound its detected , i will chose kicker , alpine , or kenwood looks like are the only with this feature in specifications i wonder if any rem amplifiers start without rem or there its no chance to start that amplifiers with sound.

The turn-on feature has to be built into the amp, so it's gonna be in the specs. And as I noted, the ones I'm aware of only work like that if you use speaker level inputs. They don't detect sound, they detect the DC offset in the speaker wires. The amps turn on when the HU turns on, even without sound.

A remote turn on signal is also avaliable on some line out converters (LOCs) like David Navone's. They work with any amp. I use one in my system.

My spare arc audio ks1200.1 uses the same technology, but then it can use its remote Input as a power strip to turn on the rest of your amplifiers instead of using a relay
