I was trying to put up a new amp in my car a 2 channel for my door speakers and I tried to use one of my brothers powered driller to screw in the screws unto the wires that go unto the speakers unto the amp and as soon as the driller touched the amp, there was a loud pop in my speakers and all the sudden wining noise came out of nowhere, it didnt do this the first time because i was using a screw driver, .. but my guess is that i might of had messed up my amplifier or what Im still new to this stuff and that noise wont go away making me fustrated. My guess is that my brpthers driller is 12volt and might of had caused the problem to my amp...

I would like to help, but I cannot understand what you typed. Always disconnect the battery when working on anything electrical in the car...

resets h/u settings //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Yikes. Try grounding your RCA terminals behind the deck. If that fixes it, then the H/U's internal ground has failed due to the mishap. If it doesn't, you're only out 1 strand of copper wire, and you might want to start looking at your amplifier.

5 minutes resetting h/u is better than having something like this happen imo. I have all my settings written down, just in case I happen to forget something.
