Amplifier Shutting down

set your gain/level properly. generally, adjust your amp to perfection.

whats the current settings on the amp when it does this?

if it is very heated and shuts off around that time, it can be a temp. issue? just one of the possibilities. but most important and more likely, toggle with the amp settings. maybe I or few members here can help u adjust if you tell us which headunit your running off of, sub, speaker, amp, etc etc.

sometimes the remote wire input-hole is way too big on amps, so the small 16-20 awg doesnt fit very well, often causing connection problems. this happened to my amp, so i stripped about 2 inches of insulation aff the end, and bundled it up, and it fixed it.

My XP crossover is set a little below 85 (which is the middle)

My bass boost is set lower

My gain is set a little below the mid line.

It is working much better after I improved the connection between the remote wire and the wiring harness. My system used to be much louder. There was more reverberation. Now it just hits harder. I am thinking about buying 4 gauge wire. I have been told that this sends more power to the amp with less effort. Would this help the issues that I am having?

Thanks for all of your help.
