Amplifier settings

hifonics brutus amp

I have 4 awg run and hooked up, running off a stock head unit until I get my new deck.

I'm doing a test run on a ****** kenwood truck style box ksc-bp110 just to test the amp is functioning. Its a 4 ohm sub with an rms of 200 w.

I'm just curious as to what settings I should be using on my amp. low pass, phase, etc. Its going to be running a type r in a couple weeks once the box build is done.

The sub isnt THAT loud, I know that the amp does 550w rms @ 4 ohm full power, but thats rated at 14.4v. I have the gain about 3/4 of the way up and it doesnt seem too loud, but im sure that will change once I get my R in there.

any help is appreciated, I looked at the sticky thread and it seems the settings thread had the original post cleared

LPF should be set somewhere near 85hz. Phase at 0. Bass boost at 0. Subsonic a few hz below your boxes tuning if your new box is ported. For now just set it in the high 30's low 40's as that box your have now is likely tuned in the 40's. Then read up on how to properly set your gain. 3/4 up may be too high or it may not be high enough but it needs to be set according to the input voltage so read up. You'll definitely get more output from the R, especially if you're building a proper box for it.
