Looking for an amplifier right at 2,500 watts.

3,000 watt amps are out of my price range (and slighly over my battery rating) and it seems like alot of brands sell 2000 watts as the step below 3,000 (looking for something in the middle)

Will be running D3400 battery under the hood (called XS and they said its good for 2,500 watt systems if using as main battery), big three wiring, and Singer 275A alternator (200A idle).

The closest thing I could find was the incriminator audio 2400 watt but it was unfortunately priced in the 3000 watt bracket ($750+).

Budget? And what are you powering?

$700 or less
Not sure yet (looking at Fi Q12s, AA havocs, SSA Icons, Sundown X12's with SPL cone ). Want windshield flexing bass with good sound quality (driver an 05 civic sedan)
For 550-650 range u can get alot more power used ..close to 4k in some cases...sq3500 bc3500 saz3500 aa3800 dc 3.5k etc

Prefer to buy new if I can find something in my budget.

I already have the zero gauge wiring to my trunk (was using a 4 gauge reducer for an Q1 750.1 before I sold it) so I don't really want to run another strand back if I can get the wattage im looking for with the current wire

You are going to need a second battery in the back if you plan on running 2500 watts + a mids and highs amp. Dual inputs should be a lot easier to install with a rear battery.

I told XS power (called them) and they said as long as it was for daily then a single battery would be fine once the aftermarket alternator was installed (they said as long as the alternator could keep up and does rated, it would be fine daily).
I would like to avoid another battery, even if it means dropping the amp down a bit which im hoping isn't the case.

For mids i'm currently running a pair of ground zero uranium 6.5s of two channels of a PPI 900.4

I'd recommend looking for a used DC 3.5k, sundown 3k, crescendo 3.5, and keeping the gains low. Single run of wire is enough. Head room is always good. USed is some of the best deals. If you really want new, there's always brazilian amps like taramps hd 3/4k which is under your budget.

Local dealer offered me a brand new Digital Design M2B well under my budget and seems to be of good quality (testing I could find online seemed to be about 2K watts at 12V and 2700 at 14V).

Might jump on that (I hear DD makes good products)
