I have the soundtream rubicon 1.1000d ordered from Amazon LLC it currently stopped working. Before I continue I am currently a Junior in Computer Engineering. I am fully aware of what I am doing and tune my sub correctly. I have only pushed one sub with this. Each time I turned off my car I heard a thud and just thought my sub was going bad because I have had for a quite a long time and audio equipment isn't made to last like older equipment I own.
Moving on, the protection light is no longer lit, none of the fuses are blown, the voltage into the amp is optimal 13V. I have connected my multimeter to the speaker output terminals and there is no AC current. Is this a common problem in regards to this amp? Is it a simple fix or is something else at play. Also my gains are set correctly and are not all the way down. This is thoroughly disappointing if it just went out after only 1 year of of use at 2 ohms 800 watts (recommended).
This was my email to tech support, I have had this amp for just over a year and no output. If anyone knows of a common problem please let me know! I always wired everything up correctly, has anyone else had this problem? I can fix it myself if I know of a common problem... Resolder etc. And no it's not the sub either. I mean you have to cover all your basis...
Truth is I am pretty sure it's shot, but if it is a common problem like a faulty cap or inductor which can easily be replaced would be wonderful!
