Hey all... i'm looking to write an article on simple amplifier repair. If any of you have knowledge to share, websites, or information that be great.

Whats that one site that has like every definition on it and like a whole page dedicated to different electronic components? That guy offered some type of amp repair thing, I'de like to check that out, so if u got that site thatd be great..

Well thanks for all your help guys... Hopefully in a little I could put together a nice article for us all to read...

Are you talking about internal repairs to amplifiers? It is, unfortunatley becoming increasingly difficult to do ANY kind of repair work on amplifiers, or on anything electronic for that matter, because of the prevelant use of surface mount technology. It makes it difficult simply to take components off of a printed circuit board the size of these components are also an issue since they can be extremely small. Nowadays, you simply replace the entire board. Having said that there are some power supply, connection problems and MAYBE some high power transistors which can still be worked on. In most of the cases, though, a schematic, or at least a part number spec sheet is needed to diagnose these problems not to mention a firm grasp of electronic theory. I think your time would be better spent having a good article on Ohm's Law and Fiquring out resistances in parallel and series circuits.....Since this is what 90% of the questions are about on this forum IMNSHO. This will also , probably, lead to less amplifiers needing to be repaired. LOL I would be willing to help you out on this venture.

yeh ohms law would be alright, kinda boring in my opinion, and ive read way to many articles on the web ALREADY about ohms law.. I do agree that most amp problems are because lack of knowledge, but again, that material is availible to read but most are just lazy.. i dunno, ill think about it.. and get back...
