Amplifier Recommendation?

Clusterfuck? Why? And i was counting on my dad to help me build the boxes since i don't know how to determine how much space a speaker needs and he used to do this for a living. I thought since they were both 15's they'd both use the same box size but i guess i was wrong?
Home theather subs are just designed differently, they generally require much larger enclosures.

Hmmm at the moment im leaning towards the FI now less expensive sub, should sound the same as the B&C sub and is going take less space. So far the only advantage I'm seeing to the B&C speaker is the brand name.

Unless this is a setup intended to simply make noise, having that many midrange drivers just doesn't work in a car.

1 sub, 2 of the 6MDN44s, and 2 good tweets. Any more than that and you're going to have a very difficult time getting a decent stereo image out of it.

I was thinking the one sub the 6 mid range and putting 4 midbass in the doors to round it out so that when you stand back with the doors open it'll all come together. Or is that a bad idea?

This is a first build so mistakes will be all over the place lol. Thats the reason i signed up for this forum so that you guys could guide me right!

Do you ride with the doors open? Best keep it simple with a set of components and a sub in an enclosure designed for it.

To be honest i want to make this build for volume that sounds decent. And no i don't ride with the doors open but the car is just really something to park at a car meet and raise the volume not really for daily driving.

There's nothing wrong with that, there's plenty of guys that fill their cars with speakers, but you were just going about it wrong. Pro-audio speakers are the way to go there. And probably some super-tweets. With a $3,000 budget you can make it happen, it takes a good amount of fiber glassing too.

Something like this Selenium 6W4P 6" Woofer 264-422 and this Selenium ST350 Super Tweeter 264-362 would be a better place to start.

A build kinda like this... http://www.caraudio.com/forums/car-audio-build-logs-cars-trucks-suvs/533070-2009-malibu-4th-order-wall-8-12-s-build-rebuild.html (scroll past the subs to see his door set-up)

That's what I wanted to know. So yeah, go with your original plan //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

B&C is a very good choice - you've got fiberglassing work ahead of you, but the results should make you happy.
