Home theather subs are just designed differently, they generally require much larger enclosures.Clusterfuck? Why? And i was counting on my dad to help me build the boxes since i don't know how to determine how much space a speaker needs and he used to do this for a living. I thought since they were both 15's they'd both use the same box size but i guess i was wrong?
Hmmm at the moment im leaning towards the FI now less expensive sub, should sound the same as the B&C sub and is going take less space. So far the only advantage I'm seeing to the B&C speaker is the brand name.Home theather subs are just designed differently, they generally require much larger enclosures.
I was thinking the one sub the 6 mid range and putting 4 midbass in the doors to round it out so that when you stand back with the doors open it'll all come together. Or is that a bad idea?Unless this is a setup intended to simply make noise, having that many midrange drivers just doesn't work in a car.
1 sub, 2 of the 6MDN44s, and 2 good tweets. Any more than that and you're going to have a very difficult time getting a decent stereo image out of it.
Do you ride with the doors open? Best keep it simple with a set of components and a sub in an enclosure designed for it.I was thinking the one sub the 6 mid range and putting 4 midbass in the doors to round it out so that when you stand back with the doors open it'll all come together. Or is that a bad idea?
This is a first build so mistakes will be all over the place lol. Thats the reason i signed up for this forum so that you guys could guide me right!
That's what I wanted to know. So yeah, go with your original plan //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifAnd no i don't ride with the doors open but the car is just really something to park at a car meet and raise the volume not really for daily driving.
