Amplifier question!!

I am goin to buy a, NVX JAD1200.1, amplifier its a 1200 rms at 1ohm and i will have TWO alpine type r's 12's

Can i split the power the 1200 watts to both subs even though its a monoblock. So one amp both subs running 600 watts rms?????

Yes, you can. As long as you have the correct sub set up. You will need d4 subs to get 1ohm.

Then you should be fine, what size wires do you have to run the amp? Power and ground, that is, and are you doing the install?

Honestly i dont know about wiring or what ill need thats why i am hoping a local audio shop can help me but i want to do it my self because all you have to do is rip off the panels and after that my dad knows how to do the wiring.. but for sure not bestbuy!! Can you tell me everything i will need as far as wiring goes that would be appreciated! !
