I've been thinking about going to these but I have to hear them first.
You wouldn't be disappointed; check the soundpressure forums those guys actually have hands on experience with these.

The high end german separates are light years beyond the standard Digital Designs components.

If your goal is to get loud and sound great this is the set for you.

I already got loud and sound great comps lol. That's what is stopping me. I have the ones you have in your sig

Have you heard PHD's?
I've heard your Hertz, and I've heard the German DD's... and I prefer the German DD's.

I'll let you know how I feel about the PHD's soon.
Italian and German design are different. I like the itilian so far.

I've had hands on. They felt sooooo cheap, it wouldn't matter to me how they sounded.

I will agree, the PHD's aren't as "beefy" as the DD German comps.

To me though, ultimately, the way they sound is what matters... and a lot of folks I trust have told me I'm gonna love the PHD's.

That said, the German DD's are my favorite comp set so far. I'm hoping my PHD's make me equally happy.

And remember, installation is a BIG part of the equation. There are guys that can take a 100.00 component set and make them sound AMAZING.

Regardless, somebody needs to buy these DDs. Hell of a good deal on an AMAZING front stage. NOTHING like the other DD comp sets, which sound like trash IMO.

I got the install covered. OP are these tweeters the same size as the XLs? Diameter and depth.
They're both 28mm

Thanks and it's true these aren't comparable. Greatly overlooked components.

Where can I find more info on mounting depth of the mids and overall dimensions of the tweeters? Just wanting to see if these are able to fit
Mounting Depth:

Mids... 2.6"

TWeeters... 1.17"

Overall Diameter:

Mids.... 6.54"

TWeeters... 2.16"
