Amplifier Power Output at 12 and 14v

Are most amplifiers rms power rated at 14v unless stated otherwise?? For example the bx1000d? I noticed that the mtx 801d and 1501d have rated power at 12v along with 14v. If I were to get a mtx 801d or a kicker ZX750.1 Would I be geting about 800wrms at 2ohms technically speaking? Most cars have a 12v system but the car should idle at around 14v correct??? Is the 12v rating for a car that isnt running for ex. a car show?? THANKS

13.8 idle mostly on fords mine does that and i have no voltage drop, they sometimes rate it at 12 volts to get the customers to buy the amp aka easy marketing and some they just put a number for it and you have to find out the hard way how much your amp actually puts out at a specific voltage.

most manufacturers rate at 13.8 or 14.4, but only 12V raters are loveble!

for example to take hifonics maxximus.

at 13.8v it does 2x4400watts but at 12v only 2x3300

So if I bought that amp I'd be better off with 4xMTX 1501d... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
