Amped speakers pulsing, no sound

I just recently hooked my two pioneer 6X8 speakers up to a rockford two channel amp. It's 150X2 i think. I have a good ground, power seems to be ok. I think my remote power is hooked up right, but the speakers still just keep pulsing. A steady fast paced thump thump is all that comes out of them and it sometimes picks up even faster. HELP!!!!

Turn down your gain and connect the RCA inputs, then turn it on and see what happens.

Head Unit?

pioneer deh-p55omp or some shit is the head unit, it's a premier, i messed w/ the gain and frequency and that didn't help. I switched the crossover to hp and ap and lp and neither setting seems to make a diff.

i got the pulsing to go away by turning the gain up, but now there is a loud hum and a little bit of sound coming out, but it's mostly overtaken by the hum or buzz

A damaged RCA cable or a damaged RCA output on the HU or the the RCA input on the amp.
