The alpine has slightly stronger components and puts out more power.

if you like rock music, I would recommend getting another kicker and putting them both in a sealed box, and running a sundown SAE1200 to them. the SAE's can be found for about 150-200 used.

If you like rap music, I'd say get a dc lvl (3 or 4) and sell your kicker.

Or find a used alpine type R near you. Once again, run it off of an SAE 1200. Run either of these choices ported.

kicker is a great 'bang for the buck' sub, but the newer models are of lesser quality than the older ones. If you find an older one, its probably not in great condition...because its old.

I think a DC sub or used alpine type R would be your best choice. and sundown amps are incredibly reliable...

Gotcha I'm probably going to keep my cvr and get an alpine mrp-m500 is that good? Also where is the best place to mount it?
