amp wont work.. all power

so i got an amp from my friend because he said it doesnt work. i hooked up a 12 v. power supply and used a meter and all the connections and outings are getting power. however, the LED "On" light will not light up even though power is going to it. also the fans will not turn on even thought they to are getting power.

any suggestions?

oh yeah, it is an A3200E Audiobahn Amp (i know, a lot of people on here dislike audiobahn, but it was free)

audiobahn subs are great but the amps on the other side arent that good. look at the remote.

Open the amp up and give it power. Trace the leads on the board and follow it to see where you stop getting power.

see thats what i did.. and the power goes all the way to the outputs and inputs, the gain and the crossover lol its rediculously weird.

and i might just be retarded and not know exactly what a remote is, but idk where it is or if it has one..

thats what i thought it was. but either i can't find the remote or it doesnt have one.

is it like.. obvious? do i buy one and install it? if i have to buy it and install it, where would i solder it to?

its usually right near the power and ground terminals. it says REM or something like that

as you can see the power is full. there isnt an REM thing anywhere.. only thing close to that is REF 12v for Reference voltage..

its like i need to turn on a switch that i cannot find!

im so confused..

See in the first pic you posted, between your white and black wires you have for your power and ground, that other terminal in the center is for your remote wire. Run 12v to that and that's the "switch" you need to turn on.

there should be a connection for another 12 volt input usually in between the main power and ground. do you have the amp case? or just the main board?
