Amp wont power up after FUSE blow?? Visonik4000D

I dont know about low volting it, it was only playing for maybe 1 min when it blew and Ive had it paying for longer the same day. They are just simple optima blue top batteries with good wiring.
I dont have a battery charger, but I'll try and find one around maybe.

It can take less then a minuite for an amp to blow. There may have been prior damage and it just went this time?If you plan on repairing it check out DB-r.I have heard they do good work. And get some more batteries before you put it back in.I would recommend 4-5 batteries for that amp.

so, the fets couldn't close fast enough and were running open.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

O.P. I'd put the amp on a small 12v supply... it will isolate any possible wiring problems and if the amp is OK it should power up fine.... if something is wrong with the amp itself the supply will not be able to deliver enough current to cause anything to granade/burn up or cause any traces in the board to fry....

a small 10amp battery charger should work... just hook it up briefly and see if it turns on, goes into protect, or does nothing at all...
You really dont know anything about HK motherboards do you ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Ive owned three of these amps, and replaced over 100 of the FET's in them myself, and competed in the MECA world finalist with them. So believe it or not, I **MIGHT** know wtf im talking about //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Hooking up a small charger like that will make the amplifier behave as if its going into protect and the amp will appear as if it is malfunctioning.

^ REALLY cause I have owned one before too; not to mention I have one in the mail comming to me for repair along with yet another one that is still pending.... I also own a couple of the smaller 900XDs...

Funny thing is they all seem to turn on when powered with the small 12amp power supply I use for troubleshooting/testing amps.....

Don't take shots at me because you don't understand Ohm's law //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Well I'll be honest I dont get exactly how you want me to test this smp snoop, but I will try anything, but Id like to get it repaired asap if possible, if I have to send it out.

TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO!! Hope the pics are nice enough

oh ok so those brown solders arent actually supposed to be there on all those silver "boxes" around the perimeter? I figured because they were all like that, that it must have been built that way, didnt know......

Low voltage though.... cmon 2 batteries and a couple minutes.....

Repair would be very expensive?

Well I have a semi local shop about 45 min away. I just didnt know if it was worth it or not.

Still dont know exactly how this happened. I mean, big 3, 2 brand new big batterys underhood with proper wiring, gain was less than a 1/3 up and the music was less than 1/2 volume. Like it was loud as ****, but I didnt notice any voltage drops before.... and this one song had been playing for less than 2 min

I'll have to post vids up of what this amp did though, moved some mega ****in air
