Amp won't power on

I'm having trouble getting my amp to power on at all. Its a new profile amp, and I can't imagine anything is wrong with the amp. Is there anything that could be going wrong other than the power wire?

the remote turn on wire from ur h/u do u have it hooked up to the amp?

I was having trouble getting it onto the remote turn on lead from the HU, so i put it on the little wire that powers the HU. Shouldn't that work?

check on ur amp if ur getting any voltage on the remote wire on the amp. if u haveing trouble still getting the remote wire tap into the radio fuse on ur car fuse box.

to check and make sure things will work take a peice of speaker wire and run it from the power wire to the rem on the amp if it turns on then your problem is your remote if not prolly a ground

dont be scared if there's a spark; it always happens to me.
