amp with small footprint but decent power

the amp in my truck just blew (a memphis audio st300.4). it was a great 4 channel amp that put out 300watts to power my component speakers and sub.

i need a new amp with a small 'footprint' - aka i need it to be small. the memphis was great because it was long and skinny and not very deep. it fit perfectly underneath the passenger seat. i would like to explore other amps that are similar.

ideally, i wouldn't be spending more than a couple hundred bucks on ebay or in the store to get it.

does anyone have any recommendations?

Blade Technologies if you can find one .....You need one of the Early BASH 4 ch's they were awesome....I have a 2ch version ...that thing is tiny and powerful.....I think they were all rated 100 wpc

If you can find one of the old Zed Audio made Us Acoustics that may fit your bill. The USA series amps were not overly large, and made some nice power...

The PDX amps are far from a couple hundred bucks though...

I would suggest the Sony XM-4S, very small, 50watts X 4 or 50 x 2 and 90 X1 bridged.

There is also MB quart that has a small line of amps

Both are cheep on ebay.

Blaupunkt has their THA series that look very nice and small however, they keep delaying the release.

definitely go with the PDX's if you are in a "tight" situation. I would have gone with them but they cost around $200 more compared to larger amps that have the same output. Probably because the name is so popular.
