amp wiring

You would have to wire them in series/parallel to provide a 4ohm load to the amp, I would recommend getting another amp that is stable at 1ohm.

Well you're screwed then. You can wire those subs to show a 1ohm load, 4ohm load or a 16ohm load, 1ohm I wouldnt try just because you dont want to ruin someone elses equipment, 4ohm you can use bt you would only get something like 240w (i think thats what it said) and 16, just forget about that.

Ok so I'll wire them for a 4 ohm load. Would you happen to have a diagram or something that would show me how to wire the voice coils up? I have them wired in a series so that he can have them hooked up to his receiver in his room now.

will anything happen to the amp if i wire it to show a 1 ohm load? His uncle thinks that my friend will blow the amp up because he really doesnt know anything about car audio, and he thinks it is going to get stolen because my friend thinks it is cool to be able to hear the bass from down the street //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif thinks he'll scare people rolling up with the bass but he has a kia so I dont think he'll scare anyone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Yes something could happen, the internals of the amplifier could melt away and cause a nice lil cloud of smoke to appear in your vehicle. Like I said, since it is someone elses equipment, i would not do it.

I always wondered the positive and negative come off the amp and split into 2??
usually that will be where your bananna plugs are on the box, onthe inside of your enclosure you just run two wires instead of one like shown in the diagram.
