amp test

ok so i want to test my amp on a different car so i can truely see if its the amp or not. so, on my dads car, im going to put a new piece of 0ga wire to positive, and wire that to the amp. is it ok if i run the 0ga to the amp directly? like it wont fit, but i think the distroblock might be messing it up or something. ill use it if i have too

you can get it powered but remember the remote is what gets it to turn on (i say that because thats a mistake i'd make). also how would you test the output of the amp while having it powered? you should be able to run the same test using your own battery as you would with your dads car.

if the way you tested it with your zune is the way i think you test it, use that to give it input and attach a speaker to the output or if your amp has rca outputs you can use another one of the rca/headphone jack things(the same thing you're using to give the amp input) and plug in a set a head phones maybe to see how that works out.

kk. the thing is also though, that i read the right power coming into the amp using a dmm. i read 14.3v at the battery, and also on the wires after the distroblock
