Amp/Sub match up

Currently I am running two Kenwood 9152D 1800 watt amps, that run 900 rms at 1 or 2 ohms, and I'm looking for 2 12" subs that would give me a high spl, i dont have a lot of room in my trunk maybe at most 5.5 ft3, I would really like them to be in a ported box also, and i only have a budget of about 150-250.

let me know if anyone has any ideas of what would work, im aiming for a 150 db, range, and right now i have a Kicker 15" CVX dvc 4ohm, wired to both the amps, so its recieving 1800 rms, and its doin ok, but the frequency range of the sub is kinda buggin me, like for everyday use its not the greatest cause i play a broad range of music. and also i was thinking about 2 12" type R's, which from what everyone says would hit that 150 db mark, but let me know what you guys think.

you really shouldn't wire dvc to separate amps.

BUT, yes... for that price range def go with type rs

and just to let you know i highly doubt you will hit 150s in a trunk car

and don't think a pair of r's will hit 150db. as if it was nothing. in an extremely nice install maybe but hitting 150 is alot harder than you'd think.

if you shouldnt do wire it to seperate amps then why would they tell you how and give you the wiring diagram to do it.

the trunk as a pass thru in the back seat so it helps a lot, with that kicker i hit a 143.7 with one amp with the pass thru door down

nice score, but still 143 to 150 is a huge difference. and yes you can wire two amps to a sub, but you also stand a chance of having different power to each voice coil, you have to have both amps set up exactly as one another, etc.

yep thats right for the wiring of the amps, as long as the amps are setup according to specs of the manufacturer then everything is cool, and i know thats a big jump from 143.7 to 150, but on realm of excursion there are people with 2 Type R's that are hittin 150db.
