Amp stopped producing sound temporarily....

This morning I was on my way home, on the highway......blazin some songs off of that bass track thread......I had been on the road for a good 25 minutes......seriously bumpin.......lettin em' earn their keep......all of a sudden the bass disappears........so thinkin' i messed somethin up, I switched the remote line to the amp off via the toggle switch I installed.....(couldn't pull over)....when I arrived home I looked at the amp and when I hit the toggle on...the amp powered up with no sound.....for a couple of seconds and then went back on.....a little worried seeing how I did the entire install.....everything is right to the best of my knowledge......the RCA's have given me trouble but not for a while.......the amp was a little warmer than usual....Any ideas or suggestions or diagnostics I can run.....any help is greatly appreciated.....thank you in advance......sorry for the long description//.
