well i got a kicker kx650.4 and the amp was working great and it went into protection mode one day for no risen and the gain and bass boost was sit in the middle and the ground and power wire are good so i was wondering is there a way to get it out of protection mode or the amp can be reset someone how and i open up the amp and the chip board is fine no burns or anything and the fuses are good

Check for shorts in the speaker wires. Did you recently move something around near the wires or change something?

Also try disconnecting the speaker wires from the amp on at a time. The amp will reset itself, it will stay in protection mode as long as the problem exists.

What speakers are you using and what is the ohm load? Did it do out while you where pounding your system, or when you hit a speed bump, or what was the circumstance?

i unhook the amp for a whole day and i just hook back up the power and ground and remote and nothing else and it still stay in the protection mode

Disconnect the remote wire. Does it go out of protect? It should turn off. Then carefully make a temporary jumper between the 12+ to the remote input. Aligator clip wire would be perfect if you have one. Just to see if there is a problem with the remote line.

See if that changes it.

Disconnect the main battery negative terminal or pull your fuse when making changes to the power lines. Don't disconnect the power input wire. It should not have gotten hot. The remote input should draw less than 1/2 of an amp.

Your trying to get the amp to turn on without the remote line from the head unit. Use a small wire to jump between the 12+ and the remote input.

When you disconnect the remote line from the HU, it should go off, and when you jump it to the 12+ it should turn back on, hopefully without being in protect mode.
