Ive heard that the old Lanzar amps were realy good but the newer ones are junk. Im not sure if the Vibe286 falls into the good category. It seems like a good deal. I found one local for only $100.

It would be used to power one 12" TypeR(2ohm), but eventualy two type r's. Would it be too much power for them? Or is it so over rated that it would be just enough?

Thanks!

i had the lower model lanzar vibe276 and the bass boost on them **** they give ok power but they dont really put that much power out like mine said 2,400 watts it felt like it only was givein out 500 watts maxx i would not spend a 100 bucks on it those model have the same design mother board as the cheap bran legacy if your look at the legacy predator amp there like the same just different top cover but evertyhing else is the same

Id only stick with the older opti series. The vibe's werent too bad ( in black )for a budget amp in a low end system. I had two a fryed them within an hour of play. Some of them held up but i think i just had some lemons.

I forgot to add when i had my couple i ran them with some older power acoustic 12's in a bandpass. Cones down, magnet facing plexi. I had 4 holes without any tubes. It suprised me on the sq believe it or not. Check it out if you have a 100 bux just to mess around with, and if your not looking to shake your rear door trim off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The 1200d was great, solid *** amps. Havent tried the new ones, and dont intend to with all the horror stories. The Black ones however, IMO are worth the money...
The 1200 is one i never got around to playing with, i wouldnt mind just to relive some older days haha:D. Ive played with most, even the heritage series wich werent to bad. Shook the heck out of a rust bucket cougar with one doughnut //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I kept looking around and found a Memphis 16-MC500d for $150 so I might go with that. Any thoughts??
Probably better than that Lanzar but still meh. I like memphis amps, they hold up great. But ive never played with any of the newer 16-mc's. Ive only messed with the older ones like usual. Ampguts says 500w at 2 ohm. I vote for the memphis.

Im leaning toward that one too. Plus the guy says he takes trades so I might have to put very lil money out of my pocket.

Only concern would be that it does 500rms and thats exactly what my typer needs. Should I look for something bigger?

I hear at least 800 for your sub but everyone has a different opinion. The memphis amp would sound awesome i bet but shop around a little i guess. Heck if you can get it for a deal then pick it up and test it out for a bit. Get something down the road if you decide you want more and if you pick up that other sub.
